Okay, I tried to get the comments going but I don't know if I did it right. Java is hard for me, an illiterate when it comes to computer stuff, to get it right. If you can leave a comment please do if not, back to the drawing board! Hopefully my friend Todd can help me out!
Anyways, if anyone likes to get into the spirit of Halloween by watching Horror or Sci-fi movies then I'd like to recommend a few from each genre.
I tend to like horror that is less graphic and more psychological and "Legend Of Hell House" definitely qualifies. It's about a haunted house that a millionaire has bought because it is supposedly very haunted and he wants to learn about life after death. He hires a group of people to stay in the house and conduct experiments reguarding the possiblility of life after death before they cleanse it of its spirits.
There is a lot of fun cinematography as well as more than a few scares as the story unfolds. It is my opinion that the remake of the "Haunting" was a composite of both the "Legend Of Hell House" as well as the original "Haunting" While the "Haunting" remake is pretty much garbage both earlier films are horror classics that deal with life after death and the uncertainty of it. Were the events that take place brought on by spiritual activity or were they merely peoples hopeful or hopeless interpretations of life after death?
The "Legend Of Hell House" keeps you intrigued throughout as the individuals come to their own conclusions by the end of the film.
This movie was written by Richard Matheson who also wrote "I Am Legend" as well as one of my other favorite films, "What Dreams May Come".
"Legend Of Hell House" stars Clive Revill and Roddy Mcdowell. If you are a Hammer Horror fan, watch for Michael Gough, who played Alfred, Batmans butler in the "Batman" movies.
I hope to be able to list other horror favorites between now and Halloween. So if you like this film, stay tuned!
