AMP IT UP

Minot once again has a place for shows. It's called the Amp. It's located in the old Porter Brothers Building right under the 3rd St. bridge. The dude who runs it promises more variety of music than was previously available in Minot(the Liberty Tavern pretty much booked only hard core shows). I'll raise my fist and give a rebel yell to that!

CLEANING CAN BE INTERESTING

Last weekend I was cleaning my room and decided to straighten up my lp's. I'm glad I did because I found that I have a lot of cool old jazz records as well as a really kick-ass Henry Mancini collection. So lately, I've been breaking out the vinyl and taking a trip down memory lane. I also found that I have a nice collection of Cure records as well as Kate Bush records. I owe a great deal of thanks to Tom Knudsvig for helping to beef up the Mancini and Kate Bush collection. On his many travels Tom always found time to go to the local record store. He would come away with great finds for himself and sometimes a find for me. Thanks Tom! You have no idea how much your contributions to my record collection have ment to me, I can't thank you enough!
