ARE YOU DOWN WITH THAT MELLOW SOUND

Hey there, sorry I haven't updated this for awhile(not a lot going on). I went to a wedding reception for a classmate of mine with Jake. Saw a lot of people I hadn't seen in quite a while. The rest of the weekend was pretty chill.

Monday night I went to the Dakota Lounge and hung out with Baehm and Rafferty and their respective others. Baehms parents were there also. It was a fun time. I've been sick since with a bad cold. I think I'm falling apart. Today is the first day since that I feel relatively okay.

DINING ROOMS

I've been favoring the downtempo trip-hop jazz sound lately and The Dining Rooms latest album entitled Tre, have satisfied my aural palate. I think the album starts out with a sample from a Charlie Brown song so you know what you're in for. Smooth and mellow with both male and female vocals. They are an Italian two-piece production team and this is their third release(hence Tre as the title)

Another recent favorite is Brookville which is a solo project from Andy Chase of Ivy. Wonderfully Nothing also has a nice jazzy downtempo feel to it. If you like Ivy try this out you won't regret it(if your down with that mellow sound!). They also sample a bass riff from Sergio Mendez Trio on the song titled Sample from heaven and it is!
