MINOT GROWING UP??
A couple of new things in town. As Tony has pointed out Josh Duhmel is everywhere these days. The cool thing is that he and some other local individuals are starting a supper-club downtown. I'm excited for this addition to Minot. I hope that Minotians support it.
Also corporate America strikes again. Yep, Starbucks has a shop across the street from Zimmermans(where the old Scheels was back in the day) on Burdick. Now, I've never been to a Starbucks and have had people preaching to me against them for years. What's the real deal? Do you more metropolitan types go to starbucks? When I drove by there today I saw some yuppie types sitting outside and it kind of made me sick. Is this also a common occurrence? I personally believe in supporting local business. So I will remain a loyal Bagel Stop customer.

i try to never go to starbucks, there are hundreds in portland (and i am serious, hundreds).. i have to admit though, when i travel i will once in awhile get a coffee there because i know that they will taste the same no matter where i am at. most places still have crappy coffee, and let it sit around all day. dont go there.. buuut, is there any good coffee in minot?
Atta boy Dylan. Corporations suck if you can support someone local. And gawd, Starbucks saps any sense of originality out of everything it touches.
