GOOD TIMES AT RALPH'S
I'm back from a weekend excursion to Fargo to see Anchorhead & Battle At Sea(Shipley's new band) and as an added bonus The Winter Blanket. The show was great! Anchorhead rocked! Battle At Sea was a pleasant surprise I must say. They had a saxophone player and that gave it a really unique sound. The Winter Blanket was great as well.
That was Friday night.
Saturday consisted of eating, shopping and going to a wedding that Shipley was in and that Anchorhead was playing at. Can you believe it? Two Anchorhead shows in two days! Plus after the wedding I was able to hang out with Todd, Nicole and my new friend Nick until the wee hours. I think we all had a blast! I know I did.
Before I new it the weekend was over and it was time to head back home. I slept most of the way home. The eight hours of sleep for the weekend had taken its toll. I even went to bed at 9:00pm last night. Mark, I did remember to bring my video camera with me so there is some footage of Battle at Sea and Anchorhead. Surprisingly the sound didn't turn out too bad. I was happy.
Well, I'm all ready to head back to Fargo this Friday for more bands at Ralph's. I'm not exactly sure but I think Saturday's lineup is Jetsetready, Battle At Sea and the Reputation. Should be a good weekend!

I agree. My only wish is that we could hang out more frequently. So far this year is of to a good start(I'm counting Christmas at Tony's as this year). Hopefully I'll see you this weekend!
Dylan...
Did you talk to the people from Winter Blanket and tell them you knew me? I sent you an email before you left, but didn't know if you received it or not. Anyway, glad you enjoyed the show...
On a sad note, Debra Hill (co-writer/producer of Halloween, The Fog, EFNY) passed away yesterday at the age of 54, I believe.
Peace...
Brian
sounds like everyone had a good time. hooray for good times
nick
Hooray indeed!
Brian-I did talk a bit with your friend Doug. He's a good guy. He said he hadn't talked with you for a little while and told me to tell you hi. We chatted about the early Winter Blanket packets that he sent out and stuff like that. I actually have their first album in the store.
Reguarding Debra Hill, 54 years old isn't that old. I wonder what happened? And a Halloween 9?
Dylan...
Cool, I'm glad you got to meet Doug. He's a good guy.
Yeah, I guess Debra Hill had cancer. I guess she kept it quiet and was pretty ill toward the end. I didn't even realize that she was sick. That's too bad. She really helped Carpenter early on in his career in terms of producing, etc.
Yeah, I guess someone is doing a Halloween 9. It will probably be terrible. But did you hear that Tarantino might be directing a Friday the 13th film? That would be weird, ha.
Later...
Brian
