WEATHERED

First off, I can't stand creed, they suck so weathered in no way is a reference to them.
I'm simply referring to the lovely weather we had last night, wait...I mean BLIZZARD! I talked to Mark B, who is currently residing in Florida with his girlfriend Carla, and he told me it was 80 degrees yesterday. How nice. Mark, beware, someday you'll have a house guest who may not leave! I hope that Poison Ivy clears up!

I watched Lost In Translation the other day and believe the hype. It's as good as they say it is. The cinematography is beautiful and so are the many locations Sofia Coppola has utilized in Tokyo. I like character study movies, and here we find to people exploring themselves and their loneliness. The lack of music adds great weight and emphasis to scenes involving the lonely displaced feelings that both Bob Harris(Bill Murray) and Charlotte(Scarlett Johansson) are experiencing. When finally they meet, the fun starts. They develop a friendship but soon realize that their own lives are waiting for them and they must get back. The friendship ends when Bob Harris has to leave and go back to America but the memories they made in Tokyo are fond ones and will stay with them forever.

This movie charms the viewer, I think, because we have all had similar experiences. Probably not in Tokyo, maybe in your own home town. You meet someone, hang out for a little while and then one of you has to leave. You know you won't ever see that person again but you made some good memories. I have many great memories from all the good people I've been fortunate to meet over the years.
