TUPAC IS ALIVE

Yes folks, Mitch Hedberg has sadly passed away but Tupac Shakur is alive and well. Here is an article from CNN. I knew he wasn't dead! All along I have said this. Maybe if I keep saying Mitch isn't dead he'll show up on a stage somewhere saying "How's it feel to be watching... a dead guy!"

Hey there
This is Joshua Ploeg/ Joshua Plague here.
I'm currently on a long ass 3 month vegan and vegetarian cooking tour
of the
US doing demos and dinner parties. I was curious if something like that
could occur in Minot. The whole thing is pretty loiw key and diy and
I've
been using punk connections for this for the past three years or so.
Every band I've been in (Mukilteo Fairies, Behead the Prophet and Lords
of
Lightspeed) has played in NDak so I figure why not try the cooking up
there
too.
Basically what happens is, for a demo- that occurs on a show that is
already
happening, I show people how to cook/make a few things (can be cold if
there
is no burner or anything) and they get to eat some food. I sell my
homemade
cookbooks. Dinner parties are lower key, anywhere from 10 to 24 people
come
to a host house or apartment and eat a seven course menu. The host and
I
plan a menu (vegan or vegetarian), we shop (I buy the groceries) I get
reimbursed (most of the time!) through books and sliding scale
suggested
donation. I cook in the house and it takes a few hours to prepare
something
this complex, and of course I can help clean up. I can do a dinner
pretty
much anywhere and they are really social and fun.
Let me know if either of those concepts appeals to you, or I could do
some
sort of hybrid of the two. or of course if you know someone that would
be
interested.
I do these trips all on bus and train by the way, so it is all pretty
amusing conceptually. I was going to try to go to Bismarck also (I
would be
coming up from Missouri to do it) thus the best looking dates are
probably
Sunday May 1 and Monday May 2nd. I know that's kind of soon, but
believe me
food iis a lot easier to deal with than music- because it's delicious
and
not as loud!
I hope we can get something together up there
Thanks
Joshua
