WHAT'S WITH THIS HELL HOUSE BULLSHIT?

What is it about religion, something that in its bass form was supposed to be about acceptance, forgiveness, love and treating people like you would like to be treated that makes people want to kill, brainwash, scare, threaten, beat, spread lies and disinformation about events and people if they do not have their same views. Seriously people use your brains. If you believe that God created us all, then HE CREATED US ALL no matter what differences exist between you or anyone else genetically or religiously. Did you ever stop to think that maybe God made us all different to test you? To see how you might treat people who are different than you? Stuff like these "Hell Houses" really get to me. It's an outright trick and plays on peoples fears by intimidation. Enough ranting here's a link if you want to learn about them.

Oh! Some friends and I went to this a few years ago. We heard about it and wanted to see for ourselves if it was really that bad. It was worse! The first scene was of Moslems praying to Allah, which of course, they depicted as Satin. Then the Moslems proceeded to blow up an airplane or fly it into a building - I can't remember which.

As we proceeded through the Hell House, we encountered a botched abortion, for which the teenage girl went to hell, an incest/rape scene in which the girl went to hell (that really pissed me off), your typical Satanist rituals and troubled teens, and finally an Israeli bombing scene in which all the Jews went to hell!

It was just horrible and we were so offended! At the end, they locked (yes, locked!) us in a small room and preached at us ("if you’ve ever had an impure thought, you’re going to hell..."). Then, they unlocked one door and told us that those of us who wanted to "accept Jesus" could go through the door and someone would be waiting to pray with us. Some of tweens were quite shaken up from the experience and went to pray. The older teens were looking at us adults. Of course, we were all Jewish and didn't budge, so they didn't either.

Those who went to pray got a ride back to the main building while the rest of us had to walk, in the dark and pouring rain, across a huge muddy field. My friend was pregnant and we all had to help her get across without falling.

Those people who do Hell House are crazy! It's mostly a bunch of teenagers who, haven't lived enough to really know what they believe, and are trying to convert the rest of the world to their beliefs through fear. I hate to admit that I have a good friend in Maui whose church is really into Hell House. I tried telling her why it was so offensive, but she is convinced they “save” thousands of people this way. I say they are just giving Christianity a bad name. As some people say, the biggest cause of atheism are Christians.

Wow! Thanks for that story! I can't believe they get away with some of the stuff they do. Thanks again for the first hand account.
