NUDE ROLLERCOASTER!!??

We now know why our man in London doesn't want to come back to America. I can't say I blame him. That kind of mass public nudity just wouldn't fly with our countries leaders. Pictures here for you pervy types.

Three cd's you should check out right now:

Tsunami Bomb's latest The definitive Act

Social Distortion's brand new album Sex, Love & Rock 'n Roll

Charlotte Martin's On Your Shore(Heavily influenced by Kate Bush Although most people won't know that but instead draw Tori Amos and Fiona Apple comparisons. It all came from Kate anyways)

I don't like it when someone calls me "dog" as in "Hey dog what time is it?" Am I the only one who hates this? I just think it lacks respect when a customer .

I also don't like it when people ask the same question several different ways. No matter what the answer will still be the same people!

Apparently I just felt like bitching about something today. Now I'm happy.

I once said to a guy in a joking manner "What are you on crack?" When he asked me if I liked Asia(I can't stand that band). He replied by glaring at me and said "Who told you?" Then he left the store.

THIS WEEKS ALBUM COVER

Enjoy!

I GUESS I CAN DIE NOW BECAUSE I'VE SEEN EVERYTHING

Holy crap! I can't believe this, a metal band fronted by two dogs! The bands name is, are you ready for this? Caninus! Pitbull hardcore! One can only imagine what that sounds like.

I can't imagine why they have masks on.

Good lord there's more! The craziness has just begun! This band gets a nod for the best ever metal name. Hatebeak! Holy shit that's funny! Hatebeak is a death metal band fronted by a
parrot?

Unlike Caninus, these guys don't need masks. Apparently they are not afraid to be mocked. Their site has mp3's so you can check it out dude. Parrot metal rulz! Even their album Beak of Putrefaction sounds funny. I hope these guys don't take themselves very seriously.

THIS IS FO REAL FOLKS

That's right Spock recorded a few albums! So did Captain Kirk but none of his covers qualified for cover of the week. The idea of Spock singing I love to make love with you scares me.

Tony has informed us of some sad news, that's right Rodney Dangerfield is in a coma. I'm a huge fan of his and am saddened by this news. I hope he survives. Or if he doesn't maybe he'll be cloned(Tony has a link to the article on his site). I have a link to Rodney's site off to the right, you better visit it!

Holy crap! Eide has one of the funniest things I've ever seen on his site. That shit is genius!

TOO GOOD NOT TO USE

I'm proud to present this weeks album cover. Drum roll please!

I love every thing about this cover. It's cheeky. And the art work is great! Ahh the 50's...

I wish I could hang out with a classy lady like the one pictured. I also wish I had a record player like the one pictured. It's really cool looking. It's too bad that most things made these days lack style. It seems that if there is any style involved you pay an assload for it. I've kept busy this week with work and killing hornets. They nested under siding at the back of my garage. It's been an on-going battle for the past two weeks because I can't tare my siding off so I have to keep spraying every other day hoping they track the spray into their nest. It seems to be working. I have had much enjoyment in watching them fall out from under the siding. Hornets suck!!

MINOT GROWING UP??

A couple of new things in town. As Tony has pointed out Josh Duhmel is everywhere these days. The cool thing is that he and some other local individuals are starting a supper-club downtown. I'm excited for this addition to Minot. I hope that Minotians support it.

Also corporate America strikes again. Yep, Starbucks has a shop across the street from Zimmermans(where the old Scheels was back in the day) on Burdick. Now, I've never been to a Starbucks and have had people preaching to me against them for years. What's the real deal? Do you more metropolitan types go to starbucks? When I drove by there today I saw some yuppie types sitting outside and it kind of made me sick. Is this also a common occurrence? I personally believe in supporting local business. So I will remain a loyal Bagel Stop customer.

THOSE NAUGHTY FRENCH
Serge Gainsburg highlights this weeks album cover. I don't know if this was a movie or just an album titled Lemon Incest. Sure is...um, different.

BIG LEBOWSKI DAY!!

My roommate and I decided to celebrate Labor Day weekend by having a Big Lebowski Day. We wore bathrobes, V-neck t-shirts, slippers and/or sandals. We opted to wear shorts as neither of us ever even owned Zubas. Remember those horrid things? We watched the movie while imbibing numerous White Russians(Caucasians in Lebowski speak). An afternoon of those will really mess you up. Lance was in pretty bad shape around 11:30pm when we were walking many blocks back to our house. Too many funny instances to mention so lets just say I've never seen him that drunk or been around someone that drunk in a very long time. All in all, a very memorable experience...At least for me!

ONE MORE FROM THE ACHIVES

I hope this photo turns out. It is a photo of Eide dressed as the masterbating bear for halloween 1999. Eide's mom made the costume. That Mary sure is creative!Posted by Hello

OLD SCHOOL
Those were the days...

I'm spending today figuring out how to scan pictures and send them to my blog. Posted by Hello
It looks as if I may have figured it out. Anyone remember this photo from the past? Everyone looks so young. Anyways, I hope you enjoy and maybe have a laugh.

RAINY DAY HANGOVER BLUES

Well I'm hungover today and it's raining. I like that it's raining. It's been 90-100 degrees the last two days and the cool weather is very welcome by me. My brain is having difficulties controlling my fingers...seems I can't type very well today, feels like they've grown thick and become slow. Oh well, I'll suffer through it and bid my time by thinking of falling alseep on my couch while watching a movie. It's the simple pleasures in life that really count!

STARTING IT AGAIN

The Start have just released their new album, Initiation. I love this band! I remember taking a couple of trips to Fargo back in 2001, where I predominately listened to their first album, Shakedown!. Initiation doesn't break new ground with their sound which is fine by me. Either you're gonna love it or hate it. I can't think of any band they really sound like or who sound like them. If you were to mix Siouxsie & The Banshees, 90's"Electronica" like Ruby and Republica, throw in some Blondie and you might come close to their sound. Anyways I like it. Lots of catchy tunes on the album with nary a sleeper on it. See if you can find some mp3's of these songs: Like Days, Peacocks, or Life Is Sweet and then maybe you'll know what I'm talking about.

Here's some fun releases due out this month: Faint, Flogging Molly, Har Mar Superstar, Hot Water Music, Black Keys, Megadeth, Col. Claypool's Bucket, Poster Children, Interpol,, Violent Femmes, Tears For Fears??!! and I'll list Hateplow just for Eide because he used to like to drive one.

September is also apparently the month of TV on DVD releases. On deck are Seasons one of Mork & Mindy!!, Magnum P.I.!!, Season 4 of Angel, Season 5 of Sanford & Son, Star Trek(Original) season 1, Twilight Zone Season one...I can't even remember them all! Recent releases include Munsters Season 1, Rod Serling's Night Gallery season 1, Knight Rider(anyone remember the debates that would occur at Geto base 5 about whether to watch Chips or Knight Rider? I do! Knight Rider STILL ROCKS!), V: The Series. It's enough to drive a person mad with TV on DVD delight and broke as a joke! I am a junkie for this stuff. Anyone share my addiction?
