MITCH HEDBERG UPDATE
Well, I guess I'll sadly eat my words. It's true Mitch Headberg has passed away. Here's an article baout it from a Baltimore paper. Truely sad news.

MITCH HEDBERG APRIL FOOLS?

Mitch Hedberg has passed away. Maybe. That seems to be the general state of mind. There is much confusion over this statement since you can only find info about this on howardstern.com or comedycentral.com, two very reputable news sources.

Tomorrow is April fools day and I wouldn't put it past a comedian to try a gag like this. Here's to April 2nd when we find out the truth.

BAR IN BASEMENT CREATES GOOD TIMES AND EXHAUSTION

Alright, if you've check out my myspace site you know that I've recently acquired a small bar for my basement. Being the dorks my roommate and I are we had to put up shelves, buy new stools and a bunch of liquor & beer and we've also acquired a fridge to chill the beverages. The "bar's" name is D & L's Pub. Let me take this moment to invite you to stop by D & L's Pub when visiting Minot.

Also, if you haven't seen an episode of Wondershowzen on MTV2 please take the time to view it. It is sensory overload, exploitation of children(like when they pose a question such as along the lines of what would you wish for if you had one wish one kid replies "Id like to punch god in the face, another replies with I'd like bernadette to be changed back into my daddy Bernie. They're clearly repeating things told them to say in front of the camera) all while being a parody of H. R. Puff 'n Stuff It's sick, grossout humor alows for more than a few jaw droppingly funny moments. Wondershowzen is NOT recommended for children. So don't let them watch.

TRIPPIN' D

I'm back and I'm sorry it's taken so long for me to tell you about my last Fargo trip. Can you forgive me Alison? I hope so!

Anyways, there really isn't much to tell. I got to Shipley's and we ate pizza watched a really cool show while having cocktails. Then it was time to head to Ralph's. It was a pretty low key evening. I missed a chance to see Off With Their Heads, they would have been cool to see. After throwing back several drinks it was time to go back to Shipley's . I'm not too sure what went on but I know I was up until somewhere around 5:30am.

Saturday
Woke up way too early had a crappy breakfast at Ihop. I should have complained and got a free breakfast but I wussed out. Back to Shipley's for a movie and a nap. Josh & I ordered Chinese food for supper. It was good! Then it was time to head back to Ralph's. Battle At Sea Kicked ass! Jet Set Ready F*skin' Rocked and The Reputation F*skin' rocked! It was an awesome night. After the show people went back to Shipley's and from that point on I'm not too clear on too much of anything. Supposedly I passed out on the floor with a floor mat over my head but I'm not sure that actually happened. I do know that Shipley took a shot of soy sauce. That's just gross. I guess bed time was around 5:30am but don't quote me on that.

Sunday
Woke up way too early and extremely hung over. Garth woke up with a fleece pull over on as pants. That was hilarious. We rounded up some people and went to Mom's Dinner for friendship Sunday and a kick ass breakfast buffet. Then it's back home for a movie and a nap and in my case a drive home. The drive sucked but I made it. I found it very ironic that after speeding from Fargo to Minot I got pulled over in my driveway for doing 37 in a 25. IN MY DRIVEWAY! Bitter irony. I guess I still had my highway legs on.

I've been recuperating from the past two weeks all this week. Bedtime's been about 10:30. I had a couple of great weekends and met lots of cool new people whom I miss already.

A quick funny story; I had one of those moments that Peter Sellers as Inspector Clouseau seems to always have where nothing goes right. I was walking around Target carrying all of my items in my arms instead of those handy carrying totes. Some pretty girls smiled at me and I smiled back. I thought to myself sweet! My charm is showing! But when I got to the checkout counter I realized that the bottle of dish soap I was carrying around had come open and was spilling out all over my pant leg and the floor. Man was I the picture of cool. The Inspector and I would get along perfectly.

ZOMBIES, ZOMBIES, ZOMBIES

The third sequel to Night Of The Living Dead has finished filming and is now in post production. I am a fan of this series especially the social commentary of the series and I think Dawn of the Dead-the original-was one of the coolest horror movies ever. I know that I grew up wanting to be trapped in a mall. I could probably do without the zombies trying to eat me but at least I'd have a sporting goods store with lots of ammo in it to protect myself with.

The plot for Land Of The Dead sounds really good. Check it out here.

ANOTHER FRIDAY THE 13TH...WITH TARANTINO?

Tarantino might direct a new Friday the 13th movie. I think it might be really cool if he did. I still enjoy the first Friday and 2 & 3 aren't too bad either. After that it starts to go down hill. Not too long ago I watched every Jason and Freddy movie, I found that I liked the Friday series better than the Nightmare series. Which did you like better? Discuss.

GOOD TIMES AT RALPH'S

I'm back from a weekend excursion to Fargo to see Anchorhead & Battle At Sea(Shipley's new band) and as an added bonus The Winter Blanket. The show was great! Anchorhead rocked! Battle At Sea was a pleasant surprise I must say. They had a saxophone player and that gave it a really unique sound. The Winter Blanket was great as well.

That was Friday night.

Saturday consisted of eating, shopping and going to a wedding that Shipley was in and that Anchorhead was playing at. Can you believe it? Two Anchorhead shows in two days! Plus after the wedding I was able to hang out with Todd, Nicole and my new friend Nick until the wee hours. I think we all had a blast! I know I did.

Before I new it the weekend was over and it was time to head back home. I slept most of the way home. The eight hours of sleep for the weekend had taken its toll. I even went to bed at 9:00pm last night. Mark, I did remember to bring my video camera with me so there is some footage of Battle at Sea and Anchorhead. Surprisingly the sound didn't turn out too bad. I was happy.

Well, I'm all ready to head back to Fargo this Friday for more bands at Ralph's. I'm not exactly sure but I think Saturday's lineup is Jetsetready, Battle At Sea and the Reputation. Should be a good weekend!

GOIN' BACK TO FARGO

It's been almost two years since I last set foot in Fargo. I've very excited to be going back and especially excited to be seeing Anchorhead playing at Ralph's one last time. For many of us Minotians Ralph's was our first bar experience. It'll be sad to see it go. But for now they'll be music, fun and drinks to be drunk! I'll be going to Fargo again the following weekend to catch more live music at Ralph's corner bar. Word is Shipley got the Reputation to come up and play that weekend! That'll be a good show as well. Hopefully I can videotape some of this stuff so there will be some sort of documentation. If I don't see you in Fargo have a great weekend suckas!

What: Anchorhead CD release show, also featuring The Winter Blanket and Battle at Sea
When: 10 p.m. Friday
Where: Ralph's Corner, Moorhead
Tickets: There is a $5 cover for this 21 and older show. (218) 233-3351

I almost forgot about this. Does anyone else remember Street Hawk? It wasn't as cool as Knight Rider but that motorcycle could do about anything.
